Founded in 2003, it comprises graduates of the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama in Glasgow and the Royal College of Music in London. They have received tuition and guidance from William Conway, the Brodsky Quartet and Robert Irvine. The Quartet was awarded the inaugural Enterprise Music Scotland residency project, which led to performances and tours throughout the country, and the commissioning of David Fennessey's "bow your head", which will receive its premiere at the 2008 S-O-U-N-D Festival. They have received critical acclaim for their performances of Mendelssohn's Octet with the Edinburgh and Fejes Quartets, and look forward to future collaborations with other leading chamber musicians. The Quartet also enjoy education work and have held highly successful events in Fife and at St Andrews University. Forthcoming engagements include their London debut, and performances further afield.
